Tokoh dunia yang memiliki kemampuan public speaking

Dale Carnegie was born in America in 1888. Raised in a poor farming family required him to do various ways to survive, from selling milk to selling soap. But behind the distress, the extraordinary characters possessed by Dale Carnegie began to form.
In 1911, Dale Carnegie, who was almost bankrupt, got an idea to teach public speaking which was the forerunner of the Dale Carnegie Course.
The interest of the American community in learning public speaking and increasing self-confidence made the Carnegie name soar. To this day the learning methods used by him are still applied in more than 80 countries through an organization called Dale Carnegie Training.
On this occasion I would like to give a sharing about some of the extraordinary knowledge taught by Dale Carnegie through three quotes from him. Let's begin.

"Only the prepared speaker deserves to be confident"
(Only speakers who are ready who deserve confidence)
Preparation is the first step and the most important step in the process of public speaking. In the Public Speaking for Success book, Dale Carnegie said that make preparations by thinking about it for 7 days and dreaming of it for 7 nights. He also gave an example of how a great public speaker who was also a former president of the United States, Abraham Lincoln mobilized a lot of energy to prepare before giving a speech. It cannot be denied that good preparation is very important and even great speakers like Abraham Lincoln do it earnestly.

"Tell the audience what you're going to say, say it, then tell them what you've said"
The main goal of each speaker is to convey a message to the audience. The message can be in the form of information, appeals, invitations, and so on. So the most important thing a speaker must pay attention to is how to get the message to reach the audience. Dale Carnegie provides a very effective method in the form of repetition by saying the message you are about to deliver, then saying the message, and finally repeating the message again.
"I am very fond of strawberries and cream but I have found that for some strange reason, prefesh worms. So when I went fishing, I didn't think about what I wanted. I thought about what they wanted."

The parable about fishing delivered by Dale Carnegie teaches us to have an audience-oriented mindset. When speaking publicly what you need to think about is what you want your audience to get is not what you want to get. A speech is said to be successful if the audience benefits from the speech. So it would be nice if before the speech we already know what our audience wants.
